Media & Photography Policy

PaxUnity values the privacy, dignity, and cultural sensitivities of all participants at our events and programs. This policy outlines how photography, video, and other media are handled at PaxUnity events and on our digital platforms.

1. PaxUnity Photography and Video

PaxUnity may photograph or record events for organizational purposes including social media, newsletters, reports, and promotional materials. By attending a PaxUnity event, participants acknowledge that photography and video recording may take place.

Where possible, PaxUnity will:

Announce at the start of events that photography may be occurring
Provide a clearly designated opt-out area where participants who do not wish to be photographed may stand
Respect requests from individuals who do not wish to be photographed

2. Participant Photography

Participants are welcome to take personal photos at PaxUnity events for non-commercial purposes. However, participants must:

Obtain verbal consent from individuals before photographing them up close
Respect any "no photography" designations at specific areas of an event
Not photograph minors without explicit consent from a parent or guardian
Not use photographs for commercial, defamatory, or harmful purposes

3. Minors and Vulnerable Individuals

PaxUnity applies special care when photographing or recording minors (under age 18) or individuals from vulnerable groups. Written parental or guardian consent is required before publishing any images of minors. Any attendee may request that images of themselves or their child be removed from PaxUnity platforms.

4. Social Media Sharing

Participants who share photos or videos of PaxUnity events on social media are asked to:

Tag PaxUnity where appropriate and with positive intent
Avoid posting images that could embarrass, harm, or misrepresent other attendees
Refrain from sharing images of individuals who have requested privacy

5. Use of PaxUnity Branding and Content

PaxUnity's name, logos, and official media content may not be used for commercial or political purposes without prior written permission. Requests to use PaxUnity media or branding can be directed to paxunity1@gmail.com.

6. Media and Press

Members of the press or media who wish to attend a PaxUnity event for coverage must notify us in advance. Media representatives are expected to respect all event guidelines and participant privacy as outlined in this policy.

7. Image Removal Requests

If you believe an image or video of you has been shared without your consent or in violation of this policy, please contact us immediately at paxunity1@gmail.com. We will review and address all requests promptly.

8. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated as our events and programs grow. We encourage participants to review it periodically.
